There’s always something fun and exciting happening at Trowbridge Women's Shed.

Come along to Holy Trinity Church Centre (The Church on the Roundabout) and enjoy a chilled-out Wednesday morning

with other women, share or learn a new skill, or just enjoy a cuppa and a chat.

Every week you will find areas set up for art, knitting and crochet, a sewing machine, textiles, a table with mindfulness colouring books.  Some weeks we offer have additional crafts, such as air-dried modelling clay, and we have a pyrography and photography day coming up.  Our bookcase has everything from needlecrafts to cookery, photography and gardening for you to browse.

We are welcoming and inclusive, and we aim to create a connected community where women are empowered to pursue their interests.

Below is a list of planned activities and events which we will build upon as more members join.  We look forward to seeing you!

SUGARCRAFT FOR BEGINNERS

You will have the opportunity to use three types of icing. FIRSTLY, we will cover a cake using sugar paste, also known as ready-to-roll or fondant icing. SECONDLY we will use modelling paste to make roses and leaves or your own design.  FINALLY, learn how to use a piping bag with a round nozzle and royal icing to write or add a simple pattern to your cake.  WE WILL ALSO COVER how to store sugarpaste icing between uses and tips for storing sugarpaste decorations.

Ask the Team for further advice about what to bring with you and the cost of materials.
