Bring your own knitting or crochet project or come and learn how to knit, or improve your skills.  If you love knitting baby jackets, we  would really appreciate your help, as we need some more to send to Ukraine in our Baby Bundles.   Contact us via the chat on the website or come and knit at the Shed.  We would love to see you!
If you've never used a sewing machine before, the Team will be on hand to guide you through the basics; threading your machine, tension and fabric. Learn how to cut out and use a basic pattern, sew in a straight line, join seams, hems, button holes and zips. Quilting tutorial coming in January.

Pot painting and Spring Bulbs are on the agenda, as well as Macrame Pot Hangers. Register your interest by filling in the Contact Form at the bottom of the page.
There is a range of media available to use - watercolours, acrylics, pencil crayons, pastels, and a selection of papers and brushes. You are welcome to bring your own materials. There's always someone on hand to provide help and advice. We occasionally have visiting artists.
If you would like to learn a bit of sugar-craft, here's your opportunity! You will get to use three types of icing. FIRSTLY, we will cover a cake using sugar paste, also known as ready-to-roll or fondant icing. SECONDLY we will use modelling paste to make roses and leaves or your own design. FINALLY, learn how to use a piping bag with a round nozzle and royal icing to write or add a simple pattern to your cake. WE WILL ALSO COVER how to store sugarpaste icing between uses and tips for storing sugarpaste decorations.
Ask the Team for further advice about what to bring with you and the cost of materials.

Feel free to curl up and grab a magazine or book from the shelf. We have a selection of books and magazines you can borrow.
If, like Jean and Lyndsey, you would like to do some woodwork, the Trowbridge Men's Shed are happy to help. They will shorty be moving to new premises at Marsh Farm, so watch this space. They need a group of 4 and will provide tuition and the use of all of their equipment for £3.50 per session. There's a small charge for materials to cover wood, screws etc. Speak to our Team for more details.
